Ace
Tennessee Walking Horse

Ace came to us  with three other equines due to a family in crisis.  He was once loved, but like many horses he found himself, in a pasture with little to no food. Thin and unhandled for a few years he started his healing.
His owner came to realize her situation would not change and reached out for help.    Life happens and we need to be there.  She still loved them, but when you are knocked down, and life takes the wind from your sails,  you need understanding and compassion. We dropped our holiday plans and made the 4 hour trip, July 4, 2015

Ace started his journey with us to find him his special  person. He was adopted out but came back to us a year later. He was then asked to join a program for at risk youth and apart from us for two years.  Once again to no fault of his own he came back to us.  We have decided not to adopt him back out again, so now WE all are his "special person".  Ace will now stay here with us and become part of our Equine Therapy Program.

Cole was loved much!

"Just wanted to let you know how incredible Cole (formerly Ace) was on his first camping weekend with us this past weekend!! He was a mountain goat hopping up and down rocks at East Fork Stables in Jamestown 😀 There are many pictures on my Facebook page where you can see him being my incredible trail partner!!"

Horse and Rider

Volunteering at a barn that offers therapeutic horsemanship can be a fulfilling experience for various reasons. Volunteers not only get to work with horses but also assist individuals with disabilities in enhancing their physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities. Volunteering can also provide a sense of purpose and satisfaction, as well as opportunities to acquire new skills and establish meaningful connections with others in the community.
